|GSA Membership Information|
HOW AND WHY TO JOINBy being a member of Glenmar, you will be included in the most active group dedicated to sailing in the area. Membership provides great motivation to using your boat more than ever, visiting new places, leading an active and adventurous lifestyle, enjoying quality family time on the water, and meeting many like-minded folks just like you. If you have kids they participate too with programs and events just for them, such as dinghy races, scavenger hunts, and such. You can get a very good overview by watching the short video on our home page. Please don't delay, send in your Membership Application today. We will immediately return your burgee and welcome kit. Your dues (Annual membership fee plus one time initiation fee) cover the cost of every event listed (an additional fee is collected for participants in Wednesday or Thursday evening racing) and the whole family is included. There is no better value in boating today.
PLUS RACING: There are several Sunday fun races for any club boat throughout the season, rating adjusted for non racers. From May through September you can race your Keelboat every Wednesday and/or your day sailor every Thursday evening. If you were to participate fully you would start over 75 races.
PLUS SOCIAL EVENTS: In February the Cruising Fleet and the Smallboat Fleet each have a winter party. In June, everyone loves the family picnic. In July, the famous club Corn Roast is held at Worton Creek. In August, there is another club picnic. In December, we hold the very popular Recognition Gala.
PLUS: Monthly membership meetings, pot luck dinners, interesting speakers, and meet-n-greet social evening get-to-gethers, and a whole lot more.
